Tatiana had previously made her Commonwealth Games debut at 14 years old and now, just after turning 16, the backstroke specialist has continued setting new Guernsey marks over both short and long course.

The Beau Sejour Barracuda is based at Millfield School but continues to compete locally and represent Guernsey abroad, recently claiming a new island record and Island Games gold over 50m.

‘She’s still young and has a promising future ahead, but Tatiana always does her club and her island proud,’ said the anonymous nominator.

‘Great technique, very focused, and a joy to watch and support.

‘She has also got some super results in the UK and upped the ante for this year’s Island Games, especially in her favourite event, the 50m backstroke.’
