Man who ran Herm leaving after 15 years on the island

HERM CEO Jonathan Watson is leaving the island after more than 15 years working there.

The 48-year-old said he felt now was the right time to move on.

‘I think there is another big challenge in me,’ he said.

He will be leaving on 8 December with his wife Rebecca and moving to their house in Gloucestershire. But he will be leaving the island in safe hands with Craig Senior, who will be taking over the next day.

‘We had a huge amount of interest – about 250 applicants,’ said Mr Watson.
