Good idea must not be wasted

This idea may just be the first truly sensible, strategic suggestion that has been put forward by deputies in the current States and should be applauded and urgently pursued.

Actually using something we produce but have to dispose of in a hole or ‘over the edge’ to create something we clearly need more of is so different from most of the other things the States has done in the last decade that it must surely be investigated properly with a positive attitude.

I appreciate that there may be questions to address and environmental issues to consider, but if we have to accept some less than perfect outcomes in that respect, better it is in an area which will contribute to our island and its economy than simply extending the Longue Hougue site southwards, which is akin to Alderney dumping its waste over their cliffs.

Bravo to those requete signatories.
