Waste of money for a longer runway
WELL said Guernie. A longer runway will not make a spot of difference to warrant spending that amount of taxpayers’ money. Should Easyjet want to fly here surely they will want the Gatwick flights but for how long?
Once they find they are running at a loss they will be gone. Aurigny will be gone possibly also by then so where does that leave us? It’s time Deputy Kuttelwascher and his band of followers realize it’s not going to happen. It would be another white elephant.
As Guernie states we haven’t the population, hotel beds or attractions for tourists to visit us. Despite what they may think we are not Jersey. And further more why was it not debated at the time when Lagan was here? No, sorry, times have changed, it would be a complete waste of money for the return it would generate. That amount of money can be better spent elsewhere, on a full sewage treatment plant for one and our own electric cable from France maybe supplying Sark on the way. I could go on.
