THE first beach trial of the Guernsey Motorcycle & Car Club's season at Port Soif saw 38 riders take to rocky terrain at Port Soif.
The 12 sections were set on difficult and testing terrain that would sap the strength of the riders, many of whom were struggling by the third lap, showing that they will have to endure several more trials before reaching optimal fitness.
However, this was not the case for Tom Scott (pictured), who took the win in the expert class by making easy work of the sections and dropping just 12 points.
Riding his first beach trial in expert, Neil Sarre pushed Scott hard but finished in second spot with Ian Le Petourel third, ahead of Chris McClean and Clem Brouard in fifth and sixth respectively with only six points between them.
