AN EARLY start did not deter the eager Beau Sejour Barracudas distance swimmers from competing in the annual 1,500m Championships.
Miles Munro and Oliver Nightingale swam head-to-head for most of the gruelling 60 lengths with Munro pulling away on the last 100m to take the title in 17-12.35.
Nightingale improved on his personal best by more than 37 seconds to secure a new best time of 17-15.83.
Masters swimmer Marcus O'Neill was delighted to improve on his entered time by more than 56 seconds to record 20-45.06.
