TOP Guernsey swimming coach Alison Frankland is urging realism as the island's top four swimmers compete in the new London 2012 Olympic pool over the coming week.
Ian Powell, Kristina Neves, Tom Hollingsworth and Miles Munro will be among the hundreds who, from tomorrow, will share the journey, live the drama and feel the glory of a British Gas Swimming Championships at the Aquatics Centre in Olympic Park.
'It is going to be an exciting experience for everyone,' said Frankland. 'But we have got to be realistic and I think the swimmers are realistic as to what they can achieve,' she added.
Powell, 26, stands the best chance of making it through the trials and booking his place on the Olympic team, while winning GB representation at junior level is Neves' aim.
