THE ever-popular OCS Open International Guernsey Masters Meet saw a remarkable 131 swimmers competing at Beau Sejour.

The event attracted swimmers representing 26 clubs from England, Germany, Jersey, Switzerland and Wales as well as the largest ever contingent from the two local clubs, Guernsey and Barracudas, contesting events at a range of distances and strokes and also taking part in some fiercely contested relay races.

A large number of non-swimming friends and family came along to support and enjoy the weekend.

Competitors ranged in age from the youngest swimmer, Dan Brittain, at 18 to the oldest entrant, Susan Halter, at 85.

The latter has been a regular supporter of the meet and travels internationally to compete in masters events.
