AN AMAZING 62 new meet records, two all-comers' pool records and an island record were set throughout the age groups at a successful Specsavers Open Swim Meet.
There was also a host of personal best times from swimmers from the four Channel Islands clubs.
The Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club's 24th Open Meet was moved to the end of June due to a clash with the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and newly-introduced regional championship dates.
This move, coupled with the introduction of level two and level three licensing conditions, proved to be a huge success with many swimmers thriving on end-of-season competition at two levels.
Kristina Neves was the standout performer at the annual meet, breaking gala, island and all-comers' records with a time of 4min. 15.56sec. in the 400m open freestyle.
