COURTNEY BUTCHER did not just beat the 200m backstroke record at the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club's Specsavers Series.
The talented 14-year-old, pictured, demolished the existing mark by almost six seconds.
Competing at the bottom of the 14/15 year age group - so she still has another year in this category - Butcher stormed home in 2-22.31 which was also the fastest time of the day from the girls.
Meanwhile, in his first race of the season after a well-earned break, it was Thomas Hollingsworth who was quickest male, cruising to victory in a time of 2-11.66.
