STEVE LE POIDEVIN won the last major individual knockout of the season with a 3-0 victory in the Norman Wale Snooker handicap final.

Le Poidevin, pictured, who was featuring in his second final having lost in five frames to Graham Peel in 2008, proved too strong for John McGrath, despite conceding a 28-point start.

McGrath was bidding for a family treble of Norman Wale wins with Clint and Marc being previously successful, and he forced the opener to a black-ball finish.

That was to be the closest frame, though, with McGrath unable to repeat his form shown in earlier rounds.
