Yabsley stars as LMS1 suffer first defeat

IT'S one of the most pertinent phrases in sport: 'Form is temporary, class is permanent'.

And XTFL had the class in the bulking 6ft 10in. frame of Martin Yabsley at Beau Sejour on Friday night.

XTFL, on the verge of slipping out of the title picture at this relatively early stage, needed a giant performance from their main man and they got it, the former professional delivering 32 points.

The match was tighter than the scoreline suggests as only deep into the final quarter did XTFL pull away when, rather surprisingly, Le Mont Saint had no answer and the fight had gone from them.
