Jamie Blondel crowned new island golf champion
JAMIE BLONDEL has won the Intertrust Island Men's Golf Championship at L'Ancresse.

He beat his L'Ancresse club-mate Jack Mitchell 3 and 1 in the 36-hole final to win the title for the first time.
'It's unbelievable really, but I'm sure it will sink in at some point,' said 37-year-old Blondel, who had been trying to win the event for 20 years.
He will now face the Jersey champion in the Channel Islands final at L'Ancresse on 22 June.
