After a team meeting and training session that night, the former Muratti keeper announced his immediate resignation as head coach of the club.

It is understood that Bisson had called the meeting and may have been disappointed with the general attitude of the under-performing squad.

‘Suffice to say the club committee has reluctantly had to accept his resignation and he leaves his position with our sincere thanks and appreciation for everything he has done for the club,’ said club secretary Lester Forman in a statement yesterday.

‘Jody will remain as a valued member on the club committee and will continue working within the minis structure.’

Bisson is on a family holiday and was unavailable for comment.
