Missing some of their senior players, including captain Lewis Hillier and No. 8 Doug Horrocks, Guernsey fell behind to an early try from the hosts, but by half-time Raiders were 14-7 to the good.

Fullback Joe Andresen scored the visitors’ first try before wing Anthony Armstrong put them ahead, with the forwards having provided a good platform for the backs to work from. Owen Thomas successfully converted both scores.

After the interval, Guernsey added a penalty try to their tally as a rolling maul was illegally brought down, but Raiders were unable to add a bonus-point try as Hertford earned a losing bonus point for finishing within seven points.
