On the weekend the pairing of Alfie Le Page and Roy Galsworthy bowed out, overseeing a 4-2 loss at home to Vale Rec, the Track club announced that Stuart Simon steps up to the top position and will have former York City pro Dave Merris as his assistant.

‘With Roy deciding to move back to family in Ireland, I feel the time is right for me to focus on some of the things I haven’t been able to do in recent times and allow Stu and Dave to continue to drive the club onwards,’ said Le Page.

New man Simon said: ‘We are both really looking forward to working with the existing squad and also hopefully attracting some new players and some younger players to the club, which we see as vital in enabling us to grow the first and second team squads and create that competitive, winning environment.’
