IT WAS a night to remember for Tim Ap Sion yesterday as he marked a surprise Guernsey FC debut with an excellent goal that earned the Green Lions a point against Chipstead at Footes Lane.

The teenage Sylvans forward was a late replacement for the ill Liam Mahon in the GFC squad and he came off the bench to fire home his side’s third goal in an eventful 3-3 draw in Isthmian South Central.

Tony Vance’s men were 2-1 ahead thanks to first-half goals from strikers Keene Domaille and Will Fazakerley, with Andy Kabuikusomo having netted for Chipstead, when the visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 39th minute as Daryl Coleman was sent off for a reckless challenge.

However, an own goal before the break and a terrific free-kick from Armani-Jordan Martin after it took the Chips into a 3-2 lead before Ap Sion struck in the 78th minute.
