Men's and women's Murattis to be played as Footes Lane double-header
There will be a men’s Muratti final and women’s Muratti double-header on the same day at the same venue for the first time this year.
Both matches will be played at Footes Lane on Saturday 13 May, with Guernsey facing holders Jersey in the women’s match at 10.30am before the 105th Muratti Vase final kicks off at 3pm, with the home side taking on either Alderney or Jersey, who meet tomorrow at Mount Hale in this year’s semi-final.
‘This will be a special year for the Men’s and Women’s Muratti competitions, with this being the first time that we have staged both on the same day in Guernsey,’ said Guernsey FA chief executive Gary Roberts.
‘We all know how much Muratti Day means to players, supporters, and everybody else involved. By holding both matches on the same day, we are hoping to create a great atmosphere.

‘Everybody knows of the history attached to the men’s competition, but we cannot ignore the growth in the women’s game, which is now making its own history and will only continue growing from strength to strength.
‘We hope that the Guernsey community will support both matches and help create a memorable day for football.’
Tickets for the women’s match are priced at £5. To attend both matches, general ddmission is priced at £10 and for a seat in the Garenne Stand for both matches, tickets will cost £15.
A complementary programme is included with each ticket and will be provided to spectators on arrival.
More details about how to purchase tickets, and when these will be on sale, will be announced in April, along with more information about the day.
