Chelsie Blondel held her nerve to slot over a penalty with the last kick of the game to clinch a dramatic and hard-fought 17-15 win in the Ladies Siam before Ciaran McGann scored a hat-trick as Guernsey beat Jersey 49-33 in an entertaining Siam Cup match.

'Absolutely amazing – I can't describe the feeling after last year. This means even more earning it back, so yeah I think we all tried really hard and earned it today,' said a smiling Guernsey Ladies captain Kayleigh Oliver while holding the trophy.

Raiders men co-captain Dom Rice later added:'It's a pretty emotional day, that one meant a lot. I've always wanted to [lift the Siam Cup] and to do it as co-captain alongside Lewis [Hillier] with this bunch of boys ... it's a special group.'

There was also a 36-12 victory for the Guernsey veterans as they regained the Nash Cup while Jersey's solitary success came in a very close Fallaize Cup second-team encounter which they edged 28-24.
