Guernsey secure first squash and racketball inter-insular win since 2017
Guernsey have secured their first squash and racketball inter-insular victory since 2017.

The hosts prevailed 21-17 at Beau Sejour, including a 3-2 victory in the headline men’s A squash category and also taking a majority of wins in the racketball section that has previously fallen firmly in Jersey’s favour.
Guernsey squash development officer Martin Watts highlighted the significance of that racketball victory – last year, they had only won one of the 10 men’s rubbers in the relatively new focus. The Sarnians had suffered a racketball clean-sweep in 2023.
‘It’s great to win the overall,’ he said.
‘The fact we’ve turned the racketball around is amazing.’
Other high points for the hosts included winning the veterans’ squash category 4-1.
