The Guernsey teenager confidently smashed home a first-time left-footed shot from the edge of the area in the 17th minute as the Robins made it four games unbeaten at home to move up to 17th, just three points off the top 10 in a congested table.

‘Obviously the three points comes first,’ Scott said afterwards.

‘To get my second goal, I got a bit lucky with the bounce and I just hit it sweetly, but like I said the three points are the most important thing.

‘In the second half I think we struggled a bit, but in the first half the boys were at it. We just need to find a way of keeping it going for the full 90 minutes next week.’

Meanwhile, Scott’s former club Guernsey FC slipped to 18th in Isthmian South Central when they lost 3-2 at Ashford Town on Saturday having led twice.
