National publication The Hockey Paper conducts a #watchyour1s’ competition which challenges clubs to best showcase match atmosphere, attendance, media awareness and reach. More than 350 watched the recent men’s and women’s inter-insulars at Footes Lane while GP Sport, with the help of Spike Productions, provided a live match feed and commentary to those following the game at the Jersey club.

GP Sport also provided extensive photographic coverage, many column inches and a strong social media output before and after the weekend. Rob Gilmour, The Hockey Paper’s editor, said Guernsey’s entry ‘hit all the right criteria’.

‘The club was able to demonstrate a clear example of raising interest in print, digital and TV media, photography and social media – but more importantly, showcase crowd attendance.’
