RANGERS look set to fill the final piece of their jigsaw by signing North goalkeeper Paul de Garis.

The ex-Muratti shot stopper, now 36, moved back to the island in the summer from the mainland to join big brother Martyn at North, but work commitments mean his contribution to the chocolate-and-blues would be limited, as he explained.

'I would only be available for about 10 games in the whole season for North, because midweek games are a problem due to work, especially Monday, Wednesday and Friday night games,' he said.

'I have worked out that I am available for more games for Rangers before Christmas than I would in the whole season for North.'
