World-ranking target edges closer for Ogier
PATRICK OGIER has been further enhancing his push for a world ranking after reaching the final qualifying round in Manchester this week.

The 22-year-old (pictured) beat Briton Alex Parry in three sets in the Aegon GB Pro-Series event in the north-west, before losing to Switzerland's third seed Joss Espasandin 2-6, 5-7.
Although disappointed with the defeat, Ogier was still happy with the way his first pro event went.
'The guy had a lot of ranking points, but I still had a good second set and had chances, but I didn't take them.'
Ogier is now number 195 in the LTA's British rankings, although that may improve, after also winning a round at Sheffield earlier in the month in a British Tour event, as well as being the Channel Islands' top-ranked British player.
