DOM MCLUSKEY will not be competing at the Commonwealth Games in October.
The 21-year-old was due to travel as part of a three-strong tennis team, alongside his regular doubles partner Patrick Ogier and Heather Watson.
But McLuskey (pictured) has received an offer of a scholarship from Cleveland State University in America and he is travelling to the States this Thursday to take it up.
McLuskey becomes the second Sarnian to withdraw from the original Games squad, with swimmer Jeremy Osborne pulling out now that he has joined the Royal Navy.
