AUSTRALIA rule these Commonwealth Games, as they tend to, and it is an Aussie who stands in the way of Heather Watson in Delhi today.

Number one seed Anastasia Rodionova is the Guernsey woman's opponent in the quarter-finals.

Despite battling illness for the past couple of days, Watson reached the quarter-finalas by beating home player Poojashree Venkatesha 7-6, 6-3.

However, she crashed out of the mixed doubles event alongside Patrick Ogier, being defeated6-0, 6-1 by the English third seeds Ken Skupski and Sarah Borwell.
