The Guernsey Commonwealth Games player could hardly believe his luck as he spent Christmas Eve training with superstar Rafael Nadal in the Spaniard's home island of Mallorca.

Ogier was on court with the world No. 1 and nine-time Grand Slam winner for three-and-a-half hours, after his uncle, who lives in the Balearic isle, arranged the opportunity.

'I would like to say it was what I normally do on Christmas Eve,' said a laughing 23-year-old Sarnian. 'It was great fun.'
