Cheshire Home holding pancake fundraiser in Town today
IT WILL be pancakes galore at the Town Church today for the Guernsey Cheshire Home, which is raising money for a 43-inch interactive touch table for residents and day visitors to use.
Its screen would provide entertainment and also allow better communication with loved ones who live off-island.
Likely to cost in the region of £5,000, the home has arranged events specifically to raise the necessary money.
One is the popular pancake event at Town Church from 11am until 2pm today, which is usually held on Shrove Tuesday but was postponed due to the second lockdown.
Chefs from the OGH, The Doghouse and the home itself will be creating crepes and there will be a raffle and hot drinks.
Then on Sunday 18 July, the Cheshire Home itself will host a summer fete from 11am-4pm at its premises on the Rohais, with a barbecue and various stalls.
