From 11am-2pm people are invited to enjoy pancakes cooked by chefs from The Old Government House Hotel, Les Rocquettes Hotel, Le Platon Residential Care Home and from the Cheshire Home itself.

‘It’s traditional and it’s a big part of the Guernsey Cheshire Home residents’ lives as well,’ said carer Jim Ozanne.

Home residents will also be selling their homemade crafts, and Lt-Governor Lt General Richard Cripwell will be in attendance, and might be encouraged to flip a pancake.

The Guernsey Cheshire Home provides essential residential, outreach, and day care services for islanders living with serious physical disabilities, including multiple sclerosis, spinal injury, strokes, motor neurone disease and arthritis.

‘This event is always a fantastic occasion, bringing people together for a great cause,’ said Mary Ellen Carter, manager of the Guernsey Cheshire Home.

‘We’re incredibly grateful to the chefs, volunteers, and everyone who comes along to support us. Every pancake enjoyed helps us continue providing care for those who need it most.’

Lemon and sugar pancakes are priced at £3.50 and £4 for any other topping.

Easter egg tombola tickets are £1 or £5 for six tickets.

All funds raised on Pancake Day will go directly towards supporting residents and services.
