DRIVERS had high hopes of some record breaking lap times for the second round of the Sarnia Estate Agents Winter Series when bitterly cold conditions proved ideal in practice.

However, the rain came down overnight leaving the track with damp sections and also slightly greasy in parts dashing their expectations.

One jubilant driver was Seb Priaulx who saw his first chequered flag taking the win in heat one of the cadet class.

He drove defensively all the way to hold off Jerseyman Harry Torpy in second.
