Watson promises to back the emerging juniors

THERE is a new man at the steering wheel of the Guernsey Kart and Motor Club.

John Watson is well-seasoned on the island motorsport scene and he takes over the club's presidency after Peter Jory opted to stand down after four years in the post.

Watson said one of his key objectives was to encourage more youngsters into the sport which has dominated his life.

'I have always been very interested in helping youngsters with their sports and it is encouraging to see that all sections of our club have a large number of youth involved,' he said.
