ANDY PRIAULX has come through his first DTM examination with flying colours.
The Guernseyman finished sixth overall and top BMW driver at Hockenheim at the weekend as the manufacturer made their return to the world-renowned series after an absence of 20 years.
'I always knew this was going to be a kind of baptism of fire as I was a real DTM rookie,' Priaulx said.
'If I had been told before the weekend I would finish sixth I would have been surprised, but delighted.
'So I have a big smile on my face and feel I have made my debut in the series in the best possible way,' he added.
