WORLD sidecar champion Mick Headland is the star attraction in this year's Condor Ferries Sand Ace Championship at Vazon, which looks like being the biggest and most competitive yet.
Thirty-two solo bikes are expected to line up on Saturday 23 June, with a number of UK riders having committed to the race.
Last year's winner and five-time champion Mitch Godden will be returning, but with the race now doubling up as the British Sand Racing Championship he is sure to face a much sterner test.
'Mitch has had it all his own way for the last five or six years, but that certainly won't be the case this time round,' said Mike Clarke, committee member of the Guernsey Motor Cycle and Car Club.
