DARREN WARWICK once again proved he is Guernsey's finest hill climber with a blistering start to yesterday's Diamond Jubilee meeting at Le Val des Terres.
Having arrived back in the island from racing in France minutes earlier, Warwick (pictured) stormed up in 28.42sec. on his first attempt, a time that put him well on the way to securing the coveted 'FTD'.
It was just 0.09 short of his own record for a Guernseyman and after two runs into the day, put him over a second clear of the rest of the field.
With two notable victories in France at both Pommeraye and St Goueno, Warwick admitted he is happy with the way he is currently racing.
