DESPITE the extremely wet conditions on Saturday, five Guernsey crews attended the annual L'Etacq attack rally.

Dale Crowsley was seeded highest at No. 10, closely followed Chris Torode with first-time navigator Craig Robert.

Slightly further down but hoping to continue his good form at No. 14 was Karl Robert, with Christian Pommier.

John Eborall and Jonathan Robillard, Ayrton and Dave Hockaday were the other two crews hoping for a solid finish to what was to be a challenging event.

After stage four Eborall had to retire his Peugeot with clutch issues, Karl Robert was into third with just a few seconds between himself and top places.
