ONE King Anthony dethroned another at Vazon on Saturday.
After a six-week gap for the senior bike riders, the second half of the summer season started with the battle to be crowned King of the Beach with Anthony Bougourd defending the title.
He won the opening championship race from the main threat to his crown, Anthony Queripel.
Bougourd then sat out the following two championship races waiting for the main race, which allowed Queripel to take the second race, but he also sat out the third.
This meant that there was a great tussle to take the honours in this championship race with Dave Cleal becoming the filling in a Teed sandwich as Robert gained first place and his father Colin a well-deserved third.
