Queripel dominant in the senior championship races

ANTHONY QUERIPEL took a clean sweep of championship-race wins in the latest sand race meeting.

He won four out of four on the day, although other leading senior riders Anthony Bougourd, who won the Coronation Cup, and Mike Clarke, who took the win for points in the Committee Cup, tasted success too.

All three were trying out stone deflectors attached to their machines to reduce the amount of debris thrown into the path of following competitors.

One rider making a good impression on only his second outing on a slider was Anyon Robilliard, who has returned to the beach 19 years after last running as a junior.
