FOR the second year running, it was Butterfield Bolts who lived up to their name and secured Town Relay victory yesterday evening.

After an era of dominance from the 'Posties' up until 2011, a new quartet broke that run a year ago and, despite making one change this time, comfortably retained their crown.

Tim Coates was the new man of the four in place of Ben Wilen and he gave Butterfield a great start, his opening leg of 4min. 48sec. the quickest of the team and putting them neck-and-neck with KPMG.

It was actually KPMG who were slightly ahead at that quarter mark after a stunning 4-47 by Ben Creasey, but that mixed team quickly faded and it was the all-male Butterfield who took control.
