BUILDING an extension on your own is no mean feat.

But for Aindre Reece-Sheerin it will be even more demanding - he does not have the use of his legs.

Mr Reece-Sheerin, 54 (pictured), has been using a wheelchair for 16 years following a motorbike accident. Despite breaking three discs in the top of his neck and his back, he has gone on to compete in marathons.

He has already begun his latest challenge: to build an extension to the back of his St Sampson's home.
