WITH only one race left in the series, the overall standings are close in both fleets competing in the Royal Channel Islands YC Frostbite Series.

With a brisk southerly wind blowing in the penultimate event it allowed the race officials to set a substantially different course and send boats up and down the Little Russel rather than across.

This brings different factors into play as skippers have greater distances with and against tide rather than sailing across the tide.

The Racing class was sent to Amfre followed by a longer downwind leg to Vivian.
