Operators invited to tender for Footes Lane and Beau Sejour

OUTSOURCING Beau Sejour and Footes Lane to a management company could begin next year after Culture and Leisure invited experienced leisure centre operators to tender for the contract.

But minister Mike O'Hara said the department had yet to be convinced that another operator could run the two facilities more efficiently than his team without impacting on users.

Culture and Leisure issued the opportunity on the Channel Island Tenders website and Deputy O'Hara said the department was fulfilling its obligation to taxpayers by seeing what was available.
