GUERNSEY'S regulator has once again come under fire from Housing minister Dave Jones after Sure started charging customers who pay their bills at the Post Office or by using debit or credit cards.

The telecoms company defended the move, saying it was passing on charges it incurred and claiming it has kept the regulator 'fully informed' of the change.

But the Channel Islands Competition Regulatory Authority disputed that claim, suggesting it had not been notified of the change in bill charges.

Deputy Jones, pictured, raised the issue after receiving complaints from islanders, upset at the £1.20 charge for paying bills via the Post Office and £1.50 levy for using debit or credit cards.
