The Get on Board campaign, launched by the Guernsey Xtreme Sports Association and supported by the Guernsey Press, has raised more than £250,000 in two years for the purpose-built facility at Beau Sejour.
Work will start at the end of this month so that the skatepark will be opened in March with an event for which it is hoped that top names in the world of extreme sports will attend.
The association also aims to attract top-class competitions to the site, promoting the island around the world.
