RESIDENTS of the former St Martin's Hotel could end up on the streets after they were given just three weeks to find a new home, it emerged yesterday.

The rundown hotel has offered low rent bedsits for the last six years, but the managing company has decided to pull out.

Many of the residents, who have until the end of October to leave, described the move as disastrous.

Malcolm Davies has managed the hotel and said residents' contracts stated that they only needed to be given a week's notice.

He refused to be drawn on why it was closing, but said a letter would be sent to residents this week about moving out.
