ISLANDERS are campaigning to 'save Joey the Trislander', fearing the much-loved aircraft could be replaced.

More than 1,900 have liked a dedicated page on Facebook and Twitter users are also using the social media platform to show their support.
The creator of the page, who wished to remain anonymous, said that if Aurigny was to retire the special Trislander from regular service, he hoped it would be kept in flying order for special occasions.
'Joey has been flying around the islands now for over 30 years. He, and the other Trislanders, are part of island life.
'Joey is a true Channel Islands icon. It would be a big shame if we were to lose him.'
