AROUND 300 islanders walked from Vazon to L'Ancresse yesterday for the annual Guernsey Alzheimer's Association's Tower-to-Tower Walk.

The sponsored event saw participants walk eight miles along the coast from the Vazon Tower (number 12) to the tower at the north end of L'Ancresse Bay (number 5).

Money raised will go towards the charity's services and facilities that help support carers, such as the Delancey Centre.

Association honorary secretary Barbara Giles said the event was an important fundraiser for the charity.
