Lorry driver denies causing cyclist's death

JURATS of the Royal Court were yesterday taken to the scene where a cyclist was killed when he was run over by a lorry at Salerie Corner.

The accident happened near the entrance to the slipway at the northern end of the QEII Marina just after 8.30am on 26 April last year.

The rider, Advocate David Allison, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nigel Simon, 50, denies causing his death by dangerous driving and an alternative charge of driving without due care and attention.
