Farm attraction liquor licence a concern for neighbours

RE-OPENING the Strawberry Farm would restore some life back into the community, residents have said.

But those spoken to also raised concerns about late-night events and a former liquor licence that extended to 11pm.

The St Saviour's site closed in 2008, as it struggled to make money, but now the owners have permission to develop a new attraction for families.

It could include function space, a cafe and shops.

Talks have been taking place with a number of possible operators for the site for the last 18 months, but none has yet to come to fruition.

Ann Wigg, 57, pictured, has lived in the area for the past 14 years.

'I would love to see it come back to life, it's asking for it really, and I think it would give a bit of life to the area,' she said.

But she would be concerned and object if the former liquor licence of up to 11pm was reinstated.
