Using former Warry's for housing 'is logical'

BUILDING more houses in an already built-up area 'makes sense', some Le Grand Bouet residents said, after proposals for accommodation at the former Warry's Bakery were put forward.

Those in the area said at a time when the island needed more housing, using up old unused sites was logical.

Hayden Morgan, 46, pictured, has lived opposite the site for the past 13 years. He said it would be far better to look at new houses than an old factory.

'Something needs to be done with the site and as long as the new houses have parking then I don't really mind.'

The bakery shut in 2013, due to increases in production costs.
