Extensive medical checks were carried out on Katrina Reynolds after the incident at Delancey battery last Saturday, but luckily the teenager suffered just a bang to the head, bruises to her legs and cuts on her lower back.

An official health and safety review of the area has been launched.

Ally De Carteret, 23, often brings her son Jax, 2, to the park. 'I know that kids use the area to smoke and hang around there, because I remember from when I was at school round here.

'It's nice for teenagers to have their own space, but not at this cost.'
